Abstract

Summary This paper investigates the use of the foam diversion technique experimentally to understand the mechanisms governing diversion in sandstones. The effect of the main parameters is presented and discussed, and a process is proposed. Field test results have shown the efficiency of foam as a diverter. Acidizing of water-cut wells is highlighted.
