Abstract

In this paper we analyse the relation as a mathematical concept. We discuss the following properties of relations: reflexivity, symmetry, antisimmetry and transitivity and define equivalence relations and order relations . We give a methodical approach to the forming of a mathematical relation in preschool children such as relations position, size relations, temporal relations, inclusion and relations of numbers. On specific examples, through series of games and activities, we do mathematisation of relations, i. e. we pay attention to their basic characteristics.
