Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused changes in various fields, including the field of education. Learning activities are carried out with adjustments through online learning activities that provide challenges and problems to the teacher. Therefore, this study aims to describe the problems faced by teachers in learning mathematics in junior high school in online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used was descriptive quantitative method with a sample of 29 junior high school mathematics teachers in Surakarta. The research instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed that teachers experienced problems in implementing online mathematics learning which included: (1) 7% in the use of Information and Communication Technology; (2) 67% in learning process activities; and (3) 26% in learning evaluation activities. With these results provide information that there is a need for solutions in the form of improved ability to carry out online learning, including the ability to use technological devices that can support the success of online learning mathematics.
