Abstract

The theses of the CC CPSU and the USSR Council of Ministers On Strengthening the School's Contact with Life and Further Development of the Public Education System in the Country, point out that: It is essential that the schools and public education agencies devote more attention to the development of the capabilities and inclinations of all children in the realm of art as well as in mathematics, physics, biology and other branches of science; that they extensively organize clubs, studios and special lecture bureaus at schools and VUZes (institutions roughly similar to US colleges - Ed.), that they found societies of young mathematicians, physicists, chemists, naturalists, and technicians, to bring to light and solicitiously foster new talents.
