Abstract

A matrix mathematical model of a four-high strip mill is created to solve various analytical problems of the system of rolls acting on strip in the rolling stands and their improvements. It facilitates the design of new systems aimed at obtaining strips of high quality and with high durability of the rolls. A pressing problem aimed at obtaining a universal initial (machine) roll contouring of finishing mill groups of hot rolling broad strip mill 2000 (Joint-Stock Company “Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works”) has been solved. Accordingly, effective schedules of a strip section hydromechanical control have been found.
