Abstract
The paper considers mathematical modeling and optimization of the design of a single-phase high-speed flux reversal motor for an angle grinder. The optimization criterion and the selection of the optimization algorithm are described. The optimization target parameter is the motor efficiency when operating at different loads while limiting the mass of permanent magnets that can be demagnetized. Calculations show that after optimization, it was possible to significantly increase the motor efficiency and reduce the rotor diameter.
