Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of oligopoly formation in the market of compulsory insurance of carrier liability for harm to life, health, property of passengers. The detailed mathematical analysis of the dynamics of the development of monopolization of this insurance market using the calculation of the Linda index and the Herfindahl-Hirschman index, which is contained in the article, affords ground for offering the minimum reference value of the concentration indicator for this market, the orientation towards which would allow the regulators represented to maintain the maximum the acceptable level of concentration of insurance premiums in the hands of a limited number of market players.
