Abstract
Butadiene polymerization on a cobalt-containing catalyst in a continuous reactor is modeled. Expressions for the molecular-weight characteristics of polymers are derived. The contributions from chain transfer and polyaddition reactions to the breadth of the molecular-weight distribution of the polymer are analyzed.
