Abstract

This paper presents a mathematical model of platinum dissolution and movement through the layers of a polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cell. The model is based on dilute-solution theory. Dilute solution equations are used to describe the movement of soluble platinum through the PEM. © 2004 The Electrochemical Society. All rights reserved.
