Abstract

A method of calculating the parameters of evaporation of small particles in the laser light field with a radiation power density in the range from 1011 to 1014 W/m2 is proposed. The modes of heating and evaporation of particles are characterized by the physical properties of the material and the laser power. A distinctive feature of the technique is the ability to calculate the gas-dynamic parameters of evaporation and the vapor recoil pressure during subsonic outflow of steam from the irradiated surface.
