Abstract

We investigated the Integral Imaging system using curved pick-up method can produce quite different results compared with the conventional way. This method was used in our manuscript which helps provide a larger effective viewing zone and higher angular resolution. In order to evaluate the differences quantitatively a mathematical model was built based on ABCD matrix. Applying this model, theoretical analysis showed good agreement with our experiments when estimating the distortion induced by curved pick-up method, and the means for distortion elimination was derived as well. Therefore this established model is helpful for the further investigation of Integral Imaging adopting curved pick-up method.
