Abstract

Based on Fick’s diffusion law, mathematical model for specimens with simple shapes such as slab, sphere and cylinder are developed for condensed-solvent debinding process of powder injection molding. A graphical method is introduced to forecast the debinding process using the established model while complicated calculation could be avoided. Experiments are carried out to verify the mathematical model and graphical method, and the results are very close to those calculated from the up-mentioned model and method.
