Abstract

According to the physical and mathematical models for the three sections of slabs heated in walking beam furnace, the finite difference method was used for discretization of the physical model and mathematical model. Combinate the actual production conditions in a steel hot rolling mill 2250mm, using the model simulation of the particular specification of the slab has got its heating curve, it can be seen it baked good temperature uniformity, that the mathematical model and calculation method is feasible. At the same time it indicates raising the temperature of reheating zone, the slab initial temperature and the emissivity of furnace gas can improve slabs.
