Abstract

This paper presents the importance of the application of mathematical methods in the work of engineers in the field of fire safety and protection of the population (FSCP). The need for mathematical knowledge of engineers in the field of FSCP is argued. A comparative analysis of the share of the studied mathematical disciplines in the specialty "Fire and Emergency Safety" of the Faculty FSCP at the Academy of the Ministry of Interior with other similar specialties in our country. Typical activities in which it is necessary to use methods from different fields of mathematics are considered. Specific examples in the activity of the FSCP engineer are presented. Conclusions have been made.
