Abstract

The article discusses the most popular mathematical methods in environmental management and land use planning, and substantiates their use in restoring the components of disturbed landscapes. Environmental management and land use planning are developing branches of applied sciences and engineering activities, involving measurements of landscape components, calculations of their changes and interactions. Based on such calculations, environmental and land management measures are developed aimed at restoring natural landscapes and returning them to their original parameters. An important role in the performance of calculations is played by mathematical methods, which are the tools for establishing the tight connections between the elements, determining the predictive values of the desired characteristics and other necessary calculations.
