Abstract

New computer technologies were used for lithospheric magnetic anomalies modeling on the Southern Urals. Description of modeling methods is considered in paper. Anomalies from various layers of the Earth’s crust were allocated. The interpretation of local magnetic anomalies was carried out, and upper surface of near-surface basic-ultrabasic massifs was determined. The models of the magnetic anomalies sources in the granite layer and the basaltic layer surface are constructed. These results allow clarifying the position of deep faults in the upper crust of the Southern Urals and their relationship with deep ultrabasic belts protruding above the basaltic layer of the Earth’s crust. According to the distribution of sources, it can be concluded that the upper complex in the Taratash anticlinorium is an elevated part of the deep basic-ultrabasic belt of the East European platform.
