Abstract

1. A scheme has been proposed for the process of naphtha pyrolysis; a mathematical description of the process has been developed on the basis of the proposed scheme, through which the yields of 14 components in the pyrolysis products can be determined. 2. The coefficients of the mathematical description have been determined on the basis of experimental data on naphtha pyrolysis at the Novopolotsk Chemical Combine. 3. Satisfactory agreement has been shown between calculated and experimental data when using the proposed mathematical description; this model can now be used to find optimal conditions and to control pyrolysis furnaces.
