Abstract
This research aims to describe the communication skills of students in class XI MAN 1 Banjarmasin in mathematics learning using discovery learning model at 2018/2019 academic year. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive. The object of study is to find students’ mathematical communication skills using discovery learning model. Data collection techniques used were test techniques. The instrument used was a written test in the form of description to measure students’ mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning using the discovery learning model. The results showed that students’ mathematical communication skills in learning mathematics using the discovery learning model in class XI MAN 1 Banjarmasin 2018/2019 academic year were in good qualifications. Therefore, the mathematics teacher can implement discovery learning to improve students’ mathematical communication skills in mathematics learning.
