Abstract

Small heat sources for solid fuels are more and more used in Slovakia North region. These heat sources have large share on environment pollution mainly in small solid emissions. The combustion process of solid fuels is affected by many factors like fuel type and parameters, heat source construction, method of operating the heat source. Some of these aspects may influence the heat output of small heat source. This paper summarizes the results of a large number of experiments on small heat sources for solid fuels, determining the impact of a large number of aspects on the combustion process in order to streamline the use of solid fuels in small heat sources. From these results, a mathematical model for predicting the heat output of a small heat source - a hot water boiler based on various aspects - was compiled. The mathematic model or prediction of heat output of small automatic heat source is very accurate and could be used for various applications like control and regulation management.
