Abstract
In the second week of school, a new student entered my class. He was about eight inches tall and covered with brown fur, and he answered to the name of “Mooch.” To most people, he looked like an ordinary Beanie Baby, but to us he became a special friend. Mooch was a mathematical monkey. He enjoyed challenging students with various problems and taught us a great deal about mathematics throughout the year.
