Abstract
Schoolchildren whose mothers had received an antidepressant during pregnancy showed a small but statistically significant decline in performance in mathematics on standardized tests when compared with children whose mothers had not received an antidepressant, a retrospective cohort study has found. There were no significant differences in language test scores between the antidepressant‐exposed and ‐unexposed groups.
