Abstract
Synthesis methods of zeolite beta pellets and films with different texture have been developed. Uniform zeolite β nanocrystals were used as initial blocks for building hierarchically porous monoliths, pellets and films. Monoliths and pellets were formed by centrifugation and drying zeolite β suspension, respectively. Films were prepared by drying zeolite β/water/heptane emulsion and zeolite β/water/PDDA mixture followed by calcination and by spin-coating of zeolite β/H2O suspensions. The synthesized samples were characterized by dynamic light scattering, X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, scanning and transmission electron microscopy and argon adsorption measurements. Zeolite β nanocrystals are highly crystallized and exhibit high BET surface area (530 m2 g-1), significant external surface area (330 m2 g-1) and high total pore volume (0.73 cm3 g-1).
