Quartzite-based HCBS plasticized with additives of refractory clay are described. These HCBS and quartzite are used to produce refractory ramming mixtures. As compared with the known quartzite-clay ramming mixture on orthophosphoric acid, the obtained siliceous mixture has a much lower porosity and higher mechanical strength
