Abstract

Web services discovery systems have been developed to search for a suitable Web service from a typically large number of advertised Web services. However, current discovery systems support either WSDL or OWL-S Web services but not both. This is a significant limitation since a requested WSDL Web service can be matched against an advertised OWL-S Web service and vice verse. This paper addresses this problem by describing a system to match WSDL and OWL-S Web services. Through the use of examples, the paper illustrates how a WSDL Web service is matched against its OWL-S counterpart.
