Abstract

Abstract Numerical computations reveal matching regions with non-exponential electric-field penetration adjacent to the core of a phase-slip center in a homogeneous superconducting-filament driven by a constant current. They become significant once the coherence length is smaller than the quasiparticle-diffusion length. Processes inside the core and voltage oscillations are then only weakly influenced by charge imbalance.
