Abstract
Managers in telecommunications, whether they work for users, service providers, or vendors, need a knowledge of the technology, business principles, and human communication. The Southern Methodist University (SMU) program is designed for the budding manager who is employed and who has a bachelor's degree in any discipline. The 10-course program has a technical core designed primarily for a person whose baccalaureate is nontechnical. There are suitable electives to round out the individual's education. The program is available via TV in the Dallas-Ft. Worth areas and nationally via the National Technological University.
