Abstract
In this discussion of a paper by A. R. Kinkel, Jr., large concordant massive pyritic copper deposits are believed to have formed by submarine sedimentation close to the outlets of volcanic ore solutions, rather than primarily by metasomatic replacement of surface or near-surface volcanic rocks, on land, like Recent deposits in Japan and Formosa.
