Abstract

Lepton-hadron interactions are powerful for investigating the structure of a hadron. Moreover the validity of the scale invariance shows that these processes may obey a relatively simple mechanism. From this viewpoint, the parton picture is an interesting idea.0 Previously we proposed a new model of elementary particles2> (hereafter we shall call it I) which leads us to a quartet model with strange spin8> and in which nucleons and mesons are constructed from nine and six fundamental particles, respectively. In I, we showed, using the parton picture, that vWdM2 =105/64·((1)-1)8/(1)8•6 for nucleons, which is in remarkable agreement with e-p experiments, and vW2/M,/=8/3n X ((1)-1)1.0/(1)2 for 1t mesons. We can also explain the electromagnetic form factors of nucleons and mesons.'> In this letter we shall test our model using the data on the process•>
