Abstract

SUMMARY We present a case of a large splenic pseudocyst in a 16-year-old female, who presented with a left upper quadrant mass and features of gastric outlet obstruction. We discuss the difficulties in diagnosis, the management options and why the definitive treatment of distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy was necessary.
