Abstract

Study Objective: Thoracic endometriosis (TE) is a very rare disorder involving active endometrial tissue located in the respiratory organs. Two theories that explain the phenomena are mobilization of endometrial tissue to the thorax via pelvic veins and through diaphragmatic microperforations. Catamenial Pneumothorax (CP) refers to a spontaneous pneumothorax occurring during menses and is attributed to suspected TE.
