Abstract

Summary A mathematical approach has been made to the double ring electrode technique. The relation for inner and outer ring currents as well as collection efficiency factor, as functions of system geometry, has been derived. It has been shown that these relations are in accordance with the experimental measurements of diffusion currents and collection efficiency factor for the Fe(CN)63−/Fe(CN)64− reaction on the platinum (neutral media) and copper (alkaline media) double ring electrode system.
