Abstract

Complex investigations of the elemental composition and optical characteristics of glass-metal nanocomposites modified by thermo-electric-field processing are carried out. The form of the silver distribution in the glass-metal nanocomposite obtained on the basis of soda-lime silicate glass using silver-sodium ion exchange followed by the reduction of silver during thermal treatment in hydrogen atmosphere is determined. Main transport processes occurring in the nanocomposite under thermo-electric-field treatment are identified.
