Abstract

In the present study, the gas holdup and gas-liquid mass transfer coefficient in bubble columns with floating bubble breakers have been measured. The effects of bubble breakers on the gas holdup and volumetric mass transfer coefficient in continuous bubble columns with non-Newtonian liquids (carboxyl methyl cellulose solutions) have been determined.
