Abstract

Mass spectra of 10 complexes of manganese(III), iron(III), cobalt(III) and cadmium(II) with dithiocarbamates derived from diethylamine, piperidine and morpholine have been investigated. The complexes of manganese(III), iron(III) and cobalt(III) show similar fragmentation behaviour, while cadmium(II) behaves differently. Molecular ion peaks are observed only for cadmium(II) and cobalt(III) complexes. The base peak in all cases is [ML 2] + (M = Mn, Fe, Co or Cd and L = dithiocarbamato group).
