Abstract

A series of acetylated glycosyl esters of 3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropanecarboxylic acid and 3-phenoxybenzoic acid have been prepared and characterized by ammonia chemical ionization. Feeding experiments with 14C labelled 3-phenoxybenzyl alcohol and 3-(2,2-dichlorovinyl)-2,2-dimethylcyclopropane carboxylic acid, using plant tissue cultures of dwarf french bean have resulted in the identification using ammonia chemical ionization and LC/MS, of the glycosyl conjugates of these compounds in extracts from the cells and medium of the tissue culture.
