Abstract

The most recent data on fission fragments distributions are reviewed with special emphasis put on the nuclear charge. The range of fissile nuclei extends from 229Th to 249Cf for thermal neutron induced fission. The features of the nuclear charge distribution are discussed and the fine structures on the yields and on the kinetic energy are shown to yield valuable informations on the latest stages of the process.
