Abstract

The author demonstrates how the concept of authenticity, as explicated in Heidegger's early work Being and Time, contributes to student affairs work. Following a brief presentation of Heidegger's philosophical understanding of human existence and how this bears upon his conception of authenticity is a discussion of key implications of Heidegger's thought for the field of student affairs.
