Abstract

We observe in the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity of the CsCl-type alloys YCu, LaCd and in the pseudobinary system LaAgxIn1-x a hysteresis which is typical of a martensitic crystal structure transformation. The X-ray spectra of polycrystalline samples show at low temperatures line splittings corresponding to a cubicto-tetragonal transformation of the CsCl structure. The concentration dependence of the lattice parameters in LaAgxIn1-x is given at 300, 90 and 33 K. The x-dependence of the transition temperature has been investigated, in order to discuss the influence of the electron concentration on the structure transformation.
