Abstract
The author describes the phenomenon of arranged marriage in Japan and notes that this form of finding a marriage partner continues to be used by between 25% and 30% of couples today. In particular the author describes the development of the pro nakodokai a modern form of arranged marriage service. (ANNOTATION)
