Abstract

The two-inertia system is a simple model with an actuator and a load. For applications such as position or velocity controls, a difference between the actuator and load is expected because of coupling engagement. In this study, the Markov chains in a two-inertia system with random switching was investigated. Crucial theories were provided for evaluation and verification. Four major findings demonstrated the effect of the switching process in the two-inertia system. These results indicate the feasibility of the two-inertia system, which reveals random switching behaviors.
