Abstract
During a ventilation (particulates)-perfusion lung scan, midline activity with a marked deviation was noted. Initially, this was thought to represent the trachea; however, chest radiographs did not demonstrate tracheal-bronchial deviation. The finding was due to esophageal activity, with the aortic knob possibly accounting for the deviation
