Abstract
The essay analyzes the first published works of Mario Dal Pra, who at the time was a university student, appearing in the mid-nineteen- thirties Catholic press. These works already manifest a very close tie between cultural commitment and philosophical rigor, which was later to find its natural expression in his teaching and concurrent pedagogical enquiry.
