Abstract

This paper presents the Field Oriented Control (FOC) of a Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) linked to a DC -bus in Marine Current Energy Conversion (MCEC) System. The DFIG-DC system is an important configuration which used a diode rectifier to ensure the connection between the stator of the DFIG and the DC-bus, while the rotor is connected to the load and the inverter. The control method used for the MCEC system is the FOC which use the d-axis rotor current to regulate the stator frequency and the q-axis rotor current to keep the dc voltage constant. Simulation and experimental results confirm the performance of the proposed control strategy.
