Abstract

A feedback control system for a servo-hydraulic multiaxial test rig has been constructed. A microcomputer based on an Intel 8080 microprocessor is used. The operating system and a library of routines for handling hardware is stored in 8 kbyte of EPROM. Eight kilobytes of RAM are used to store control parameters and program. All control programs are stored on cassette when they are not needed. Two ‘proportional and integral’ analogue controllers are used in conjunction with the microcomputer to increase the capabilities of the control system. Data logging facilities are provided by the test rig.
