Abstract

A Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health Study waves 3 and 4 found that among youths, those in states that legalized recreational cannabis were more likely to transition from non‐users to users. There was no evidence that youths in those states transitioned from users to non‐users, or from users to weekly users. There was evidence among adults that legalization was associated with transitions from use to weekly use.
