Abstract

This article has as its objective to initially present the situation that a women confronted in andocentric societies, localized in the Greek – Roman and Palestinian world, pointing to the existent dimensions of dependence, rupture and contradictions. The text reveals, based on Gnostic writings, the role that Mary Magdalene played in terms of leadership in primitive Christianity, and offers correlations for modern Christian reflections.
