Abstract
Maria Luisa de la Riva was an outstanding woman artist in the nineteenth century, well known in some of the most prestigious French salons. This paper presents unpublished data about her career, from records kept at the Archives Nationales, in Paris, just as it studies an unknown work by her: “Uvas y granadas”, a painting kept at the Prefecture de Cotes-du-Nord, in Saint-Brieuc.
