Abstract
In this paper some characterizations of fuzzy strongly semicontinuous and fuzzy precontinuous mappings are given by using the notions of quasi-coincident and quasi-neighbourhood due to Pu and Liu [ J. Math. Anal. Appl. 76 (1980) 571–599]. The definitions of α-open and preopen mappings which are defined by Mashhour et al. [ Acta Math. Hung. 41 (1983) 213–218] are extended to fuzzy sets.
