Abstract
Plant communities form the structural and functional basis for nearly all terrestrial ecosystems. Good knowledge about plant communities is therefore necessary to understand and protect life on our planet. Journal of Vegetation Science publishes papers on all aspects of plant community ecology with an emphasis on articles that develop new concepts and methods, test theory, or identify general patterns.
