Abstract
The growing interest in the construction and development of socio-emotional competences (SEC) in education has motivated the emergence of mappings and models, especially in recent years with the pandemic. Despite this, the existing terms related to the socio-emotional competences of students are still limited, in view of that, this article presents a systematic review of the literature on the definitions of the concept of socio-emotional competences with a focus on the student profile. For this, 18 articles were selected between 2017 and 2022 from 556 scientific publications identified. The results provide conclusions on the concept of SEC presenting a historical and conceptual overview from the most recent research, as well as a mapping of 87 SEC.
